Brian Beaty, MD

Dr. Brian Beaty is a board-certified radiation oncologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Radiation Oncology. He provides advanced, personalized care for patients with a wide range of cancers, including brain and spine tumors, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal and gynecologic cancers, prostate cancer and other genitourinary cancers, lymphoma and sarcoma.

Dr. Beaty has extensive experience with specialized radiation treatments such as 3D conformal radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiation therapy and high-dose-rate brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies. His approach is rooted in precision and compassion, tailoring care to each patient's goals and values.

Before joining Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Dr. Beaty completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of North Carolina and a transitional year residency at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. He earned his medical degree and a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences from Albert Einstein College of Medicine after graduating summa cum laude from Elon University.

Dr. Beaty has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters focused on cancer biology and treatment, with a special interest in HPV-associated cancers, radiation therapy innovation and cancer metastasis research.

He was drawn to oncology after seeing the impact cancer had on his own family and remains deeply committed to treating each patient as he would his own loved ones. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, fishing, going to the beach and supporting his church community.
