Denise Smalls, FNP

Denise Smalls, DNP, FNP-BC, is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners OB/GYN. She provides comprehensive women’s healthcare for patients from adolescence through post-menopause, offering services including annual exams, contraception counseling and preventive care to support lifelong wellness.

With more than a decade of nursing experience, including leadership roles in pain management and outpatient care, Denise brings a strong foundation in patient-centered, evidence-based care. She is certified in ambulatory care and pain management nursing and is dedicated to creating an environment where patients feel informed and supported in their health decisions.

Denise earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Winthrop University.

She values building long-term relationships with her patients and focuses on education and collaboration to help women at every stage of life feel confident in their care. Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending time with family and staying active in her community.
