Denise Devine, MD

Dr. Denise Devine is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Charleston OB/GYN. She brings more than two decades of experience caring for women across the Lowcountry, with a focus on evidence-based care, surgical expertise and long-term continuity.

Dr. Devine’s clinical interests include:

• General gynecology
• Preventive care and well-woman visits
• Family planning and contraception counseling
• Menopause and perimenopause management
• Hormone replacement therapy
• Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery

Dr. Devine earned her undergraduate degree from Transylvania University and her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where she served as administrative chief resident.

Her approach to care starts with listening. She supports each patient as an individual, taking time to understand her concerns, goals and life stage. As a mother, breast cancer survivor and a woman who has navigated menopause, she brings both clinical perspective and personal insight to conversations that can feel vulnerable or complex. Her goal is for every patient to feel heard, supported and confident in her care.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons. She plays tennis in USTA leagues, enjoys yoga and mahjong, and loves traveling. She is also a big football fan and looks forward to the Credit One Tennis Tournament each year.
