Professional Statement
April Wright is a family nurse practitioner with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Pain Management. She brings more than 25 years of bedside experience to her role, including surgical and medical critical care, neurologic care and outpatient endoscopy, as well as years on a hospital rapid response team. That depth of experience means she is comfortable caring for people with complex conditions and coordinating care when multiple needs overlap.
April’s approach is whole-person and practical. She listens closely, explains options in clear language, and partners with each patient to create a plan that fits their goals and daily life. She emphasizes safe, evidence-based pain management, combining education, lifestyle strategies and appropriate therapies so patients can function better and get back to what matters most.
April earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice as a family nurse practitioner from the University of South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina and her associate degree in nursing from Trident Technical College. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Outside of work, April enjoys time with her husband and three children, being on or near the water, traveling and cheering for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
