Kristen Forrest Miller, MD

Dr. Kristen Miller is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Gastroenterology. She cares for adults with a wide range of digestive health needs and has special interests in colon cancer screenings and diagnostic and screening endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Her approach centers on making patients feel comfortable, respected and heard. Growing up in a rural area where access to care was often limited shaped her commitment to listening closely, explaining options clearly and ensuring no concern is dismissed. She partners with patients to understand their goals, guide them through screenings and procedures and support long-term digestive health.

A personal experience in her own family deepened her dedication to prevention after a loved one died from colon cancer that might have been avoided with routine screening. That perspective drives her focus on education and proactive care, so patients feel informed and empowered.

Dr. Miller earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Howard University Hospital. She is board-certified in internal medicine. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree in health, exercise and sports science from The Citadel.

Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her children, working out and developing her cooking skills.
