Mai Dyer, MD

Dr. Mai Dyer is an obstetrician-gynecologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Charleston OB/GYN. She provides patient-centered care for adolescents through menopause and is known for her clear communication and calm, supportive bedside manner.

Clinical interests and services include:

• Prenatal, delivery and postpartum care, including high-risk pregnancies
• Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic procedures
• Adolescent gynecology and age-appropriate counseling
• Well-woman exams, contraception counseling and preventive screening

Dr. Dyer earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental health science and a Master of Public Health from the University of Georgia. She worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before earning her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

She completed her OB/GYN residency at Prisma Health–University of South Carolina, where she received honors for excellence in obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery and family planning. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Outside the office, Dr. Dyer enjoys cooking, reading and spending time outdoors. She lives on James Island with her husband, their dog and cat.
