Dr. DeMarco earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a published author on topics ranging from resistance training in adolescents to end-of-life care.
Believing that a healthy lifestyle begins with a healthy environment, Dr. DeMarco also advocates locally for more green spaces and safer roads. In his free time, Dr. DeMarco enjoys running, climbing, playing soccer, reading and traveling.

Excellent experience. Dr Demarco is an excellent addition to your office. With so many newcomers to SC from all over, it's challenging to find the right physician because of the huge number of new residents in the area. Everyone wants good health care.

Dr. Matthew Demarco is an exceptional provider. He listens thoroughly to what I have to say and helped me figure out how to minimize symptoms of my condition. He is the only doctor who has been able to truly help me with my condition and I am very grateful for him. Not only is he a great listener, but he also communicates information in a way that is easy to understand. I don't know what I would do without him as my doctor. I certainly wouldn't have the quality of life that I do now. He has been there for me countless times whenever I have a health issue or concern. He is able to effectively apply all of his personal experience and training to his practice and always explains the "why" behind a strategy to treat a problem. This level of medical transparency has made me feel more comfortable in his office than anywhere else, and I've had some great doctors in the past. None of them compare to Dr. Demarco! He deserves recognition for how much he helps his patients. And a big raise in his paycheck!
