Dr. Matthew DeMarco is a board-certified family medicine doctor with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. He provides comprehensive primary healthcare for patients through every stage of life.

As a family medicine doctor, Dr. DeMarco specializes in:

• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries

• Managing chronic conditions, including:

  • Diabetes

  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)

  • High cholesterol

• Performing in-office procedures, such as:

  • Skin biopsies

  • Knee joint injections

  • IUD (birth control) insertions and removals

  • Cryotherapy (freezing technique to remove warts and skin tags)

• Conducting advanced cardiovascular (heart) risk assessments

• Providing smoking cessation therapy

With a special interest in lifestyle medicine, Dr. DeMarco aims to empower every patient to live a healthy life and enjoys working with athletes.

Dr. DeMarco earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a published author on topics ranging from resistance training in adolescents to end-of-life care.

Believing that a healthy lifestyle begins with a healthy environment, Dr. DeMarco also advocates locally for more green spaces and safer roads. In his free time, Dr. DeMarco enjoys running, climbing, playing soccer, reading and traveling.
