Dr. William Foster Gaillard is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Vascular Surgery. With a compassionate approach and surgical expertise, Dr. Gaillard is dedicated to providing exceptional vascular care. Dr. Gaillard treats a wide spectrum of vascular conditions.

He specializes in:

• Open and endovascular treatments of peripheral arterial disease, focusing on complex limb preservation
• Management of aortic disease, carotid artery disease and spine exposure
• Renovascular and mesenteric vascular disease
• Lymphovenous disorders, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous insufficiency and lymphedema
• Providing solutions for dialysis access

Dr. Gaillard earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital. Dr. Gaillard went on to hone his skills through a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Gaillard is not only recognized for his clinical skills but also for his scholarly contributions to the medical field. His research work has been published in reputable medical journals, shedding light on topics such as intravascular ultrasound for genitourinary malignancies, the shift of high cardiac risk patients to endovascular procedures, and innovative treatments in vascular surgery.
