Stan Ottinger, MD

Dr. William Stanley Ottinger is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Charleston OB/GYN. He has played a leading role in expanding advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery in the Charleston area, including laparoscopic approaches that can support faster recovery when appropriate.

Clinical interests and services include:
• Urogynecology
• Advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
• Treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding
• Surgical evaluation and management of pelvic pain
• Endometrial ablation

Dr. Ottinger earned his Bachelor of Science from Presbyterian College and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also completed his internship and residency training. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He is also a member of the Charleston County Medical Society.

Dr. Ottinger believes patients deserve clear, straightforward guidance. He takes time to explain options, answer questions and partner with each patient on a plan that aligns with her goals and quality of life.

Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, boating and snow skiing. He is happily married and the father of two daughters.
