About Andrew Smith

Professional Statement

Dr. Andrew Smith is part of Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. In addition, he completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. He served in the U.S. Navy for 14 years and treated patients with pediatrics and sports medicine conditions in hospitals located throughout the United States – from Florida to California – as well as across the Pacific Ocean in Japan.

He specializes in treating nonsurgical musculoskeletal and sports injuries including:

  • Sprains
  • Strains
  • Fractures
  • Tendon injuries

Dr. Smith believes each patient is like a fingerprint – no two are the same. He takes time to listen to patients before expertly creating treatment plans that cater to their needs. His goal is to get patients back to doing the activities they enjoy.

When not treating patients, you can find him fishing, golfing and exploring the Lowcountry with his wife and four young children.
