He believes every patient’s story matters and approaches each case with clinical precision and compassion.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from C.U. Shah Medical College in Gujarat, India, and a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from Florida International University. He completed extensive general surgery training at several programs, including the University of Miami, BronxCare–Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also completed his fellowship in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery.
His decision to pursue medicine was shaped by his early experiences growing up in a rural village in Gujarat, India, where access to healthcare was limited. Those formative years gave him a deep appreciation for the privilege of care and the responsibility to serve. He carries that perspective into every patient interaction, aiming to combine science and compassion to help patients heal and thrive.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring new cuisines and cultures and finding creative expression through woodworking. He is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
