Brittany Lyons, DO

Dr. Brittany Lyons is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and building strong relationships with her patients to ensure they achieve the best quality of life.

Dr. Lyons earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville. Her areas of interest include chronic disease management, hypertension, diabetes, and preventive medicine.

From a young age, Dr. Lyons knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare, and after shadowing her mentor in primary care, she realized that medicine would bring her the most joy and fulfillment. She is passionate about chronic disease management and appreciates how different body systems interact and require personalized treatment plans.

Dr. Lyons' care philosophy is rooted in her osteopathic medical training, which emphasizes the interplay between mind, body and spirit. She believes that optimizing all three aspects of health is essential for overall well-being. She strives to help her patients achieve this balance through personalized care.

Forming relationships with her patients brings Dr. Lyons the most joy. She finds great satisfaction in understanding and addressing their individual needs. An interesting medical case or rare diagnosis also reminds her of why she chose this profession.

Working for a nonprofit healthcare system allows Dr. Lyons to care for a diverse range of patients, including those who may lack resources. She values the opportunity to help patients with varied social determinants of health.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Lyons enjoys spending time with her husband, long-distance running, reading, doing puzzles, rescuing dogs and volunteering at local animal shelters.
