About Bruce Ball Sr.

Dr. Ball is a board-certified specialist in allergy, asthma, and immunology for both pediatric and adult patients. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Ball then pursued a three-year residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston, followed by a year of practicing general pediatrics in Houston. He further specialized with a three-year fellowship in adult and pediatric allergy and clinical immunology at National Jewish Health/University of Colorado.
With comprehensive training in all aspects of allergy, asthma, and immunology, Dr. Ball has been recognized by his peers and included in Best Doctors in America for over 20 consecutive years. He has received numerous local awards, including being named Best Allergist by Mount Pleasant Magazine, Charleston’s Choice, and Charleston Living Magazine. He is also a recipient of the Mom’s Choice Award from Lowcountry Parent Magazine and the Best of Berkeley Award from the Berkeley Independent.
A native of Charleston, Dr. Ball has been married to his wife, Mitzi, for over 30 years, and they have four grown children. He enjoys playing squash before seeing patients in the morning, allowing him to spend quality time with his family in the evenings.
