Carly Runey is a nationally certified physician assistant with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Neurosurgery & Spine. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from South University and her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina. Carly specializes in treating neck and back pain, reviewing MRI and imaging results and performing trigger point injections.
Before joining Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Carly worked in private pain management where she gained extensive experience in conservative management of spine pain and interventional therapies. She strives to improve her patients’ quality of life and functionality by developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Carly’s interest in medicine began during her time as a patient care tech which deepened her love for patient care. She enjoys working within a team-based approach focusing on compassionate care and individualized treatment strategies.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. They love traveling, boating and participating in outdoor activities especially spending time at the beach and with family and friends.
