Catherine Nelson, PAC

Catie Nelson is a certified physician assistant with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Orthopaedics. She cares for adults with hip and knee concerns, including osteoarthritis, and supports patients through the full journey of joint replacement. Her clinical focus includes knee injections, assisting in hip and knee replacement surgeries, and providing thoughtful pre and post operative care, so patients know what to expect and feel confident at every step.

Catie believes patients should always feel heard, informed, and comfortable with their plan. She takes time to explain imaging and treatment options in clear, everyday language and works with each person to align care with their goals and daily life. Her path to orthopaedics began in college during anatomy and physiology and grew while working as an occupational therapy assistant and later as a hospitalist PA. These experiences shaped her practical, compassionate approach to recovery and mobility.

She earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Outside of work, Catie enjoys time with her husband and their energetic toddler, trying new restaurants around Charleston and unwinding with a thousand-piece puzzle.
