About Elizabeth Anisis
Professional Statement
Dr. Elizabeth Anisis is a board-certified family medicine physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. She cares for patients ages 10 and older, providing comprehensive care that blends her medical expertise with her background as a licensed physical therapist. She focuses on whole-body wellness, prevention, healthy lifestyle changes and individualized treatment plans.
Dr. Anisis believes the best care happens when patients are active participants in their health. She provides care for a wide range of needs, including some chronic pain conditions, ADD, anxiety, depression and other psychiatric concerns. She is certified to perform DOT physicals for drivers and, when appropriate, can offer trigger point injections for certain musculoskeletal issues or remove some minor skin tags and moles.
Her path to medicine began in physical therapy, where she developed a passion for helping people improve their health. She later chose family medicine to care for patients through all stages of life while building strong relationships with entire families.
Dr. Anisis earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and her master’s degree in physical therapy from the College of Staten Island.
Outside of work, she strives to lead a healthy lifestyle and enjoys spending time with her children and family.
