Emily Okubo, PAC

Emily Okubo is a nationally certified physician assistant with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Vascular Surgery. She cares for patients with conditions affecting the arteries and veins, supporting them from their first evaluation through treatment and recovery.

Her interests and services include:

• Evaluation and management of peripheral arterial disease
• Treatment of venous insufficiency and other vein conditions
• Care for carotid artery disease
• Preoperative and postoperative care
   

Emily's experience spans both vascular surgery and emergency medicine, giving her a strong foundation in caring for patients with urgent and complex needs.

Emily was drawn to medicine early in life. Growing up in an underserved community where many people faced treatable chronic illnesses and helping care for chronically ill family members as a young person, she developed a lasting desire to make a meaningful difference in others' lives. She has found deep fulfillment ever since caring for the health and wellbeing of others.

For Emily, good care is more than medicine. She believes in building a trusting relationship with each patient and treating the whole person, not just a condition. What she finds most rewarding is simple: seeing patients' lives improved by the care she helps provide.

Emily earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University and her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences, graduating magna cum laude, from Washington State University.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her children and pets, running and reading.
