Emma Webster, FNP

Emma Webster is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Pain Management. She cares for adults living with chronic pain, with a focus on individualized treatment plans that improve day-to-day quality of life.

Conditions treated include:

• Degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis
• Continued back pain after spine surgery
• Chronic pain syndrome
• Facet joint pain
• Arthritis pain, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
• Myofascial pain, sacroiliitis and bursitis
• Headaches and other chronic pain conditions

Emma spent years as a hospital nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. Most recently she led the nursing team on her shifts in the surgical intensive care unit at Roper St. Francis Healthcare, where she cared for critically ill and post-surgical patients and mentored nurses new to the unit. That background gives her a deep familiarity with pain, recovery and the toll both take on a person.

Her interest in healthcare started early. Emma grew up around family members who worked in the field, and watching their dedication to caring for others is what drew her to nursing and later to training as a nurse practitioner.

Emma believes in meeting each patient where they are. She takes time to educate and empower patients so they can make informed decisions about their own health, and she works with each person to build a plan suited to their particular situation. What she values most is seeing how the right treatment can meaningfully change someone's quality of life.

She also enjoys the relationships themselves. Meeting new people, getting to know them over time and helping them feel better is the part of the work she finds most rewarding.

Emma earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner from the University of South Carolina and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Radford University.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with her family, staying active and being outdoors.
