About Eric Long
Professional Statement
Dr. Eric Long is double board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Roper St. Francis Physician Partners General Surgery team.
Dr. Long has extensive experience in:

- Trauma surgery
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his general surgery residency at The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He went on to complete a surgical critical care fellowship at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, where he later served as an attending surgeon and assistant professor of surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine.
With more than a decade of experience in general, robotic and trauma surgery, Dr. Long provides advanced care for a wide range of cases. He has received awards for outstanding achievement and holds multiple professional memberships. He is dedicated to treating patients with dignity, respect and compassion.
Outside of work, Dr. Long enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running, going to the beach and watching sports, especially college football and baseball. He is a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan.
