After 2 knee replacements, this experience with DR. MCINTOSH was FAR SUPERIOR.. MUCH MORE information, care, and discussion about my situation

Dr. McIntosh is the most skilled, most up-to-date, most kind and courteous, most genuinely concerned with my health and welfare-- in short, the very finest-- orthopedic specialist I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. And I have dealt with many all up and down the east coast for broken bones, damaged joints, and joint replacements. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is a credit to the staff of the Roper St. Francis Hospital system. You would be very foolish to ever let her or her circumstances act to discontinue her association with you. In my view, she is your MVP orthopod! Treat her well. She has earned it with her exemplary service.

I would suggest offering a MRI because they took an XRay but my friend who's an RN explained that only lets you know if there's a bone issue. An MRI would show tissue and muscles

Doctor McIntosh accepted/inherited me from Doc Price. She's been great professionally and very interpersonal. I was concerned when Jim retired this summer but haven't missed a beat moving over to Doctor McIntosh.

Dr Heather is an amazing Dr and takes time to walk thru all scenarios. She even called after hours twice to follow up on questions. Her scheduler Robin is also phenomenal.

Heather McIntosh MD is the quintessential orthopedic surgeon. She surgically repaired my left shoulder in May 2025 and the recovery time was astonishingly fast. After me undoing all her good work in a slip/fall, she agreed to attempt a 2nd repair in Feb 2026. When it became apparent that the tissue quality was irreparable, she fashioned a 2nd solution with which I am absolutely delighted, notwithstanding an extended recovery time. Words cannot describe how impressed I have been with her knowledge, surgery skill, thoroughness, and courtesy throughout my treatment. I count it my extreme good fortune to have been referred to her by physicians Jim Price MD and James Anoia, MD.
