Since January 3, 2016, when I was transported from the Mt. Pleasant ER to downtown Charleston I have been telling everyone I know that if I was to have a heart attack I was fortunate to do it in the care of Roper Hospital and the care of Dr. Smith. My heart, literally, will always remember how, at my most fragile and vulnerable time, Dr. Smith made me feel safe in the decisions he facilitated to get me the triple bypass surgery I needed and now is continuing to give me the confidence moving forward with my post operative cardiovascular care. Am ever thankful Dr. Smith has enriched my life by ensuring that my health moving forward will be monitored and cared for with integrity and discernment. Not everyone knows this kind of quality of support and, again, it makes me incredibly humble and grateful.
