Jared Phillips, DO

Dr. Jared Phillips is a board-certified family medicine physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. He cares for patients from adolescence through their senior years, with a focus on preventive care that helps people stay healthy for the long term.

Clinical interests and services include:

• Preventive care and annual wellness visits
• Chronic disease prevention and management
• Primary care for adolescents through seniors
• In-office procedures, including skin biopsies, joint injections and incision and drainage
• Long-acting contraception, including IUD and Nexplanon placement and removal

Dr. Phillips brings a distinctive background to primary care. He served as a family medicine and flight physician in the U.S. Air Force, caring for pilots and aircrew and overseeing medical care both in the United States and at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Dr. Phillips chose medicine out of a desire to help people through their challenges. He finds it an honor to be part of each patient's health journey and takes pride in building lasting, trusting relationships along the way.

Dr. Phillips sees his role as a guide. He works to educate every patient, breaking down complex problems into clear, understandable terms and laying out the options so patients can make well-informed decisions about their care. Every choice is made together.

Dr. Phillips earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Carolinas Campus, and completed his family medicine residency at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He also completed aerospace medicine training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Outside of work, Dr. Phillips is passionate about health and fitness and does CrossFit several days a week. He enjoys the outdoors, including fishing, surfing, golf, biking and hiking, and treasures time with his wife and their two young daughters.
