Jennifer Sullivan, CNM

Jen Sullivan was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended Clemson University, earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2013. She then returned to south Louisiana, where she worked as a registered nurse in a cardiothoracic step-down unit and a labor and delivery unit in New Orleans.

In 2018, Jen earned a Master of Science in nursing with a focus in nurse-midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. While pursuing her degree, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at both Roper St. Francis and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She received her certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board in 2018.

Jen has practiced as a certified nurse midwife since 2019, with experience in both active and expectant management of labor. She is passionate about the midwifery model of care, which centers on being “with woman” through all stages of life, including pre-conception, prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum, and routine gynecological and contraceptive care. She is deeply committed to patient education and shared decision-making.

She and her fiancé, Joe, enjoy staying active, spending time at the beach, exploring new restaurants, cooking gourmet meals at home and doting on their dachshund, Bacchus, named after the god of wine.
