Jordan Read, DO

Dr. Jordan Read is an internal medicine physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. He cares for adult patients with a focus on preventive medicine, lifestyle and longevity, musculoskeletal and sports medicine concerns and helping patients take an active role in managing their long-term health.

His clinical interests and services include:

Dr. Read came to medicine with a straightforward desire: to walk with people through the hardest and most important moments of their lives. Over seven years of training, that desire took a sharper focus. He became increasingly drawn to the power of prevention — to helping patients understand that their daily decisions shape their health more than almost anything else, and that the goal of good medicine is not just a longer life but a better one.

His approach is rooted in the osteopathic philosophy of whole-person care. He believes patients should be the primary drivers of their own health, and his role is to give them the education, diagnosis and guidance they need to make the best decisions for their unique situation. For Dr. Read, the most rewarding thing is when a patient feels empowered to take health into their own hands and changes their life in the process.

Dr. Read earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Trident Medical Center.

Outside of work, Dr. Read and his wife Alyssa love traveling the world with their daughter Anne-Marie. He also prioritizes fitness and enjoys exploring Charleston's restaurant scene and making regular trips to Disney.
