About Julia Saylors

Professional Statement

Dr. Julia Saylors joined Charleston Oncology in 2009. She earned her undergraduate degree from Clemson University, where she double-majored in biological sciences and psychology. She received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed six years of training in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In 2013, Dr. Saylors became board-certified in hospice and palliative care medicine. Most recently, she completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. She is passionate about incorporating a healing-oriented, holistic approach into her patients’ treatment plans.

Dr. Saylors serves on the board of the South Carolina Oncology Society and acts as a preceptor in oncology and hematology for medical residents in training.

Outside of work, she enjoys being a mother to her three children and their dog. Her hobbies include reading, exercising, traveling, cheering on the Clemson Tigers and attending live music events. She is also the proud wife of Dr. Gene Saylors, a fellow physician at Charleston Oncology.
