About Kenosha D. Gleaton
Professional Statement
Dr. Kenosha Gleaton is board certified in gynecology and obstetrics. She received her bachelor's degree at the College of Charleston in Biology. Gleaton received her doctorate of medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. During her training, she received various leadership awards including the Spring Symposium Research Award and the MUSC Alumni Association Award.
Dr. Gleaton is passionate about women, youth and mentoring. Her clinical interests include adolescent gynecology, minimally invasive vaginal surgery, and lactation. She also enjoys medical missions and has provided medical care in South Africa and Costa Rica.
Gleaton is the past president of the Charleston County Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Association and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves on the MUSC Committee of Diversity and Inclusion where she advises on policies protecting minority employees and students.
Dr. Gleaton was named a 2018 Healthcare Hero by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
In her spare time, Gleaton enjoys running, spending time with her husband and two sons, and worshipping at World Overcomer's Ministries.
