Kevin Pink, MD

Dr. Kevin Pink is a non-invasive cardiologist with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Coastal Cardiology. He is board-certified in internal medicine and fellowship-trained in cardiology. Dr. Pink cares for patients through every stage of cardiovascular care, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and long-term follow-up.

Clinical interests and services include:

• Coronary artery disease and microvascular dysfunction
• Heart failure, cardiomyopathies and valvular heart disease
• Women's cardiovascular disease, including care during and after pregnancy
• Vascular medicine and peripheral arterial disease
• Exercise physiology and cardiovascular fitness
• Cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac CT

Dr. Pink's philosophy is that the best healthcare is a partnership. He brings the medical expertise, and his patients are the experts on their own lives, values and goals. Dr. Pink sees his role as a cardiologist and as a coach, someone who educates patients so they understand their condition, the treatment options available and the reasoning behind each recommendation.

Before discussing test results or medications, he wants to understand what matters most to each person, whether that's getting back to playing with grandchildren, returning to work, running a race or simply feeling better each day. Cardiology is driven by rapidly evolving evidence and technology, and Dr. Pink believes compassion, trust and communication remain at the heart of excellent care.

His path to cardiology started with his father, also a cardiologist. As a boy, he watched his dad work in the cath lab, racing against a 90-minute door-to-balloon time and finding creative solutions to complex cases. Years later, his father became a cardiac patient himself, given a second chance thanks to a stent no bigger than a hairpin. That experience is still what Dr. Pink returns to when he thinks about his work.

Dr. Pink earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Pink spends as much time outdoors as possible, whether hiking, fishing, exercising or simply being outside. He grew up playing soccer and still enjoys the game whenever he can. He also values meditation and mindfulness, and some of his favorite moments are the time with his family and his golden retriever, Murphy.
