Lisa Burgess, FNP

Lisa Burgess is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Gastroenterology. She cares for adult patients dealing with a wide range of digestive conditions, from common concerns like acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome to more complex conditions like Crohn's disease and colitis.

Lisa brings more than two decades of clinical experience to her patients, including years as a registered nurse in colorectal surgery at Roper St. Francis Healthcare before transitioning to her role as a nurse practitioner. That background gives her a deep, practical understanding of what patients navigating gastrointestinal conditions are going through and what they need to feel supported.

For Lisa, the heart of good care is partnership. She believes in working alongside each patient to develop a treatment plan that makes sense for their life, and she finds the most meaning in the relationships she builds along the way.

Lisa earned her Master of Science as a family nurse practitioner from Walden University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Grand Canyon University.

Outside of work, Lisa and her husband enjoy exploring the Lowcountry and its beaches. She also loves live music and spending time with their dog, Yuengling.
