Margaret Roth, MD

Dr. Margaret Roth is a primary care physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors. She completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Roth also holds a Master of Science in physiology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Virginia.

With training in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Roth has a unique understanding of the needs of patients throughout all stages of life as well as the importance of early recognition and prevention of disease.

Her special interests include:

• Preventive healthcare
• Hypertension
• Diabetes
• Pediatric and adolescent medicine
• Postpartum and breastfeeding support. Dr. Roth is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).

Dr. Roth’s care philosophy centers on creating a partnership with her patients and building long-term relationships to provide personalized care. She is passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their health.

Working for a nonprofit health system is particularly important to Dr. Roth, as she appreciates practicing in a mission-driven environment that prioritizes patient care and community well-being. Dr. Roth is dedicated to working with underserved populations and has volunteered at medical clinics locally as well as in Honduras, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Ghana. She looks forward to continuing this work as part of her commitment to community service.

Outside of work, Dr. Roth enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs. She loves exploring parks and trails, relaxing on the beach, and discovering new coffee shops and restaurants around town.
