About Margaret Sorrell
Professional Statement
Dr. Margaret Sorrell is part of the Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care team. She earned her medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, and completed her residency through the Trident/MUSC Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Sorrell values building relationships with her patients to better understand their health goals. She works with each individual to identify strengths and challenges, creating personalized plans to help them achieve their best health. She believes in a customized, sustainable approach rather than one-size-fits-all care.
Outside of work, Dr. Sorrell enjoys spending time with family and friends on James Island. She also enjoys running, CrossFit, golfing and taking her dog, Marnie, to the park. A devoted fan of Virginia Tech, she loves cheering on the Hokies during football season.

Love how personable and understanding she is. As a nurse I often see doctors kind of bring a heavy or "I'm better than you" energy into a room that makes patients feel small or not listened to. Dr Sorrell definitely doesn't do that! She listens and cares what you have to say.
