Marie Neilsen, MD

Dr. Marie Neilsen is part of the Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care team. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at AnMed Health Family Medicine in Anderson, South Carolina.

Dr. Neilsen aims to provide the same high level of care to her patients that she would want for her own family. She believes that understanding preventive care, disease management and treatment options empowers patients to make informed lifestyle and healthcare decisions. She works to give each person in her care a clear picture of their current health, engage them in setting wellness goals and help them create a plan to live a healthy, fulfilling life.

Outside of work, Dr. Neilsen enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, walking their rescue dog, reading and exploring Charleston.
