Martha Shepard, PAC

Martha Shepard, PA-C, is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Orthopaedics.

She specializes in:

• A wide range of orthopedic conditions, from acute injuries to chronic conditions
• Assisting in surgical procedures of the foot, ankle and knee

With many years of clinical and surgical experience, she is skilled in evaluating patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, and developing comprehensive treatment plans.

She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the College of Charleston. 

Martha’s background as an athletic trainer helped shape her approach to patient care. She believes in tailoring treatment to meet each patient's unique needs and expectations, ensuring that their care is personalized and effective. She finds it especially rewarding seeing her patients able to return to their desired activity level.

Outside of work, Martha enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and reading a good book.
