About Minh Tran
Professional Statement
Dr. Minh Tran earned his medical degree in 2009 from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, in 2012, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at East Carolina University in 2015. He was named chief fellow of cardiovascular sciences at Brody SOM in 2014 and received the Fellow of the Year award in 2015.
Dr. Tran joined the practice in 2015. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds certifications from the National Board of Echocardiography and the Board of Nuclear Cardiology. His clinical focus is on cardiac imaging and its role in the spectrum of cardiac diagnostic tools.
Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Dr. Tran is fluent in Vietnamese. He emigrated with his family to New York at age 10. He is a health and fitness enthusiast with a passion for exercise and weight training. He also enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures and trying new foods. Dr. Tran values meeting patients and helping them with their cardiac care.
