Professional Statement

Originally from Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, Dr. Holdgate moved to Charleston, South Carolina, in 1996 to attend Porter-Gaud School and later the College of Charleston. He earned a Bachelor of Science in physics in 2003 and worked at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center before returning to Charleston to attend the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
