About Ryan McMonigle
Professional Statement
Dr. Ryan McMonigle is a family medicine physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before joining the U.S. Navy. He completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida.
While serving, Dr. McMonigle received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal. Most recently, he was a staff physician at the Naval Health Clinic in Charleston, South Carolina. He also served as the ship’s physician aboard the USS George H.W. Bush out of Norfolk, Virginia, where he was the primary care manager for nearly 3,000 active-duty sailors.
As a family medicine provider, Dr. McMonigle believes in treating the whole patient—mind, body and spirit. He is committed to being there for his patients at every stage of their health journey and takes time to build relationships so he can understand each person’s unique needs.
Dr. McMonigle knew he wanted to be a doctor since elementary school, but watching his aunt and uncle serve as Navy physicians inspired him to follow the same path.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their many pets.
