S. Nicole DeBerry, MD

Dr. Nicole DeBerry is a board-certified family medicine physician with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. She brings more than 25 years of experience caring for patients and families in the Lowcountry, with expertise in preventive medicine, chronic disease management and comprehensive primary care.

Her clinical interests include:

• Preventive care and wellness
• Chronic disease management
• Women’s health
• Care for medically complex patients

Dr. DeBerry earned her Bachelor of Science in biology, graduating cum laude from the University of South Carolina. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her family medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she also served as chief resident. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. DeBerry believes deeply in relationship-based medicine. Over the course of her career, she has built lifelong connections with patients and has had the privilege of caring for individuals and families through many stages of life.

A recent personal experience navigating breast cancer care strengthened her understanding of the patient perspective and reinforced her commitment to compassionate, thoughtful care. She strives to ensure every patient feels heard, supported and confident in their care.

Outside of work, Dr. DeBerry enjoys spending time with her family and her four children. They love the beach, outdoor activities, music and laughing together.
