About Scott Woodfield
Professional Statement
Dr. Scott L. Woodfield is a native of Washington, DC and New York City. He completed his undergraduate degree at Lehigh University before completing medical school at Albany Medical College in 1990. Dr. Woodfield completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the George Washington University, and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Arizona Heart Institute and Columbia Medical Center in Phoenix.
Shorty after completing his fellowship, he moved to Charleston, SC and has been living in Charleston for 19 years. Dr. Woodfield is currently a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a Diplomat of the National Board of Examiners, and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a member of the Medical Society of South Carolina as well. Dr. Woodfield’s interests are General and Interventional Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular Disease.
In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, skiing, and gardening.

Dr. Scott Woodfield is a cardiologist I would recommend. I heard horror stories from people telling me to be careful because of the risk of bleeding. I had no complications and I believe that is due to the fact my doctor was awesome and preformed the surgery as it was supposed to be done.
