Shawna Fox, FNP

Shawna Fox is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Primary Care. She cares for adults across every stage of life with a focus on geriatric health, women’s urologic needs, type 2 diabetes and comprehensive primary care.

Clinical focus includes:

• Women’s urologic concerns such as overactive bladder, urinary incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infections
• Type 2 diabetes management and education
• Hypertension and other chronic disease management
• Preventive care and wellness visits
• Palliative and hospice support for patients and families

Shawna’s approach is compassionate and collaborative. She listens closely to patients and their support systems, explains options in plain language and builds plans that fit real life. Her goal is to provide evidence-based care that helps people feel heard, supported and confident in their health decisions.

Inspired by a family friend whose kindness and dedication set an example of service, Shawna values teamwork and believes the best outcomes happen when patients, families and clinicians work together. She earned an associate degree in nursing from West Virginia University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed a master’s degree in nursing at Clemson University to become an advanced practice nurse in primary care and family medicine.

Outside of work, Shawna enjoys time with her husband and their growing family that includes four grandsons. She likes light reading, clinical podcasts and hiking and walking.
