T. Scott Jennings, MD

Dr. T. Scott Jennings is a gynecologic oncologist board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

He specializes in:

• Ovarian and endometrial cancer treatment and survivorship

Dr. Jennings completed his gynecologic oncology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he also served as an assistant professor for two years. He returned to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) as an assistant professor and chaired the gynecologic oncology division for two years.

He spent 22 years in private practice, helping establish the Cancer Center at Roper Hospital, where he centered his oncology work. After three years with Trident/HCA, he continued practicing at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Dr. Jennings received robotics training in California in 2007 and, with colleague Dr. Ward A. Katsanis, pioneered the first use of robotics for gynecologic cancers in South Carolina at Roper St. Francis.

Passionate about applying new technologies and treatments, he values the collaboration across oncology specialties to provide personalized patient care. Dr. Jennings serves on multiple committees, including the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Bloodless Medicine Steering Committee, and the Clinical Affairs Committee of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, of which he has been a member since 1993. He also served on the Medical Society of South Carolina board.

Outside of work, Dr. Jennings enjoys spending time with his family and tending a fruit orchard on Johns Island, joking that his family is more fruitful than the orchard.
